Manufacturing Engineering Automation Controls Technician

This is a Full-time position in Etobicoke, ON posted July 18, 2021.

Our client, a global world class manufacturer in the Vaughan area, is currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineering Automation Controls Technician.

– Profit sharing Minimum requirements:
– Electrical Engineering degree/diploma
– Minimum 5 years of programming of new equipment and automation systems from design to production
– Understand and apply ladder logic principles, including sequencer and analog control for I/O, ability to understand and program high-end PLC commands and HMI usage.

– Proficient knowledge in the following software packages: Allen Bradley RSLogix5,500,5000, Factory Talk View Studio, Allen Bradley Panel Builder32, Omron CX-Programmer, Labview program and maintenance test software
– Travel required within Canada and US Responsibilities include:
– Assist in quoting and design reviews for new automation lines
– Working with Integrators and internal IT department to develop design and build standards for PLC and communication controls for new equipment
– Follow equipment builds with Integrator, ensuring the controls conform to Mytox build standards for programming and communication
– Attend new equipment builds and trials at the integrator prior to sign off and shipment to the plant
– Complete improvements for error proofing and design function for all new and existing equipment as required
– Generate master standards for all variable controls within the production and assembly equipment and operation
