Senior Business Analyst Lead


This is a Full-time position in Etobicoke, ON posted July 15, 2021.

What is the opportunity?

​ In this role, you will partner with multiple Business Lines and IT to Lead and facilitate better strategic analysis, investigate the root cause of the business problem and analyze opportunities for business improvement at both a Project and Program level.

This role demonstrates expert knowledge and ability, and can apply the Business Analysis competency in the most complex situations.

Is recognized as an expert, internally and/or externally.

The role is responsible for the successful definition of requirements needed to deliver against the assigned unit’s strategic objectives: by leading, and providing oversight, guidance, and governance of the business analysis activities on large Transformational Programs.

What will you do?

Display Project Leadership skills through stakeholder management, team leadership, and coaching and mentoring of other Business Analysts; Perform gap analysis between current and future states at both a Project and Program level; assess and recommend highest value-added solution options; Understand the business context and the impacts of the proposed change to people, processes, organizational structure, policies, and technology at both the Project and Program level; Forecast BA resource needs, manage BA allocation across all workstreams and overall Program; and Forecast and manage business stakeholder involvement across the Projects and the Program as a whole to ensure the most effective utilization of their time; Lead requirements effort estimation and manage requirements planning at both the project and program level; Ensure requirements quality and consistency across all projects/workstreams within the Program; Lead user acceptance planning ( UAT ) with Project/Program BAs and manage user testing efforts at the Program level.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have: 5 years of Personal and/or Commercial Banking experience 7 years of related work experience as a Business Analyst with progressively increasing responsibilities in the areas of requirements management on large and complex projects Experience in Large scale Projects/Programs Expert Knowledge and proven experience in User Acceptance Management and Testing ( UAT ) Proven experience with Business Agility Practices eg: OKRs , Prioritization Proven experience with various project delivery methodologies including Iterative Waterfall and Agile Nice-to-have: Relevant college, university, and/or post-graduate degree in Business Analysis Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Institute –Professional in Business Analysis (PMI – PBA) Certification (Preferred) Masters Certificate in Business Analysis (Preferred) What’s in it for you?
