Your Role and Responsibilities: As the Practice Leader, you will have the unique opportunity to build, lead and grow a team of diverse Professionals.

We are seeking out the best problem-solvers, idea-makers and high-energy delivery leaders that have a passion for growth, innovation and overcoming any obstacle.

You should have a minimum of 15 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager, Program Manager with a proven track record of successful Practice Leader, an ability to improve project management practices and substantial team leadership experience with a focus on team and skill development .

Key responsibilities include: 2nd line management of a group of passionate and experienced delivery managers, including 1stline leadership support, performance and promotion reviews, recruiting and hiring, skills development with emphasis on growing a strong culture of engagement.

Working in conjunction with the CIC NS Director/Centre Leader and Practice Leaders to facilitate the development and implementation of key strategic initiatives Creating an environment where our people flourish and achieve peak performance by building a culture centered around inclusion, collaboration and growth mindset through meaningful initiatives with our clients, communities and teams Operations oversight including resource capacity and management, utilization and bench management and overall Practice Leader solution staffing Collaborating with IBM’s go-to-market teams to solution and staff new opportunities and to ensure hiring and skill demand is regularly interlocked to enable more proactive hiring and rebalancing, when required Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Undergraduate or graduate degree in Business/Business Administration (MBA), Computer Science or a technology related field Previous 2nd line management experience in a matrix organization Expert-level knowledge of project and change management and associated methodologies, techniques, processes and approaches (e.g.

PMI Project and Program Management methodologies, Agile delivery, etc.) Budget, cost and profitability management skills Knowledge of resource management tools Credibility as a senior-level project leader Strategic Thinking: Ability to juggle multiple goals and deadlines in the context of the big picture Team Leadership & Development: Ability to mentor, coach and effectively transfer expertise to others Facilitation, Negotiation & Problem Resolution Skills: Ability to build a strong network and relationships at executive levels with technology and solutions, customers and vendor groups Resilience and resourcefulness Required Technical and Professional Expertise A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager or Program Manager Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager or Program Manager About Business Unit IBM Services is a team of business, strategy and technology consultants that design, build, and run foundational systems and services that is the backbone of the world’s economy.
