POSITION TITLE: Commis de bureau SHIFT: JOB STATUS:Full-time ESTABLISHMENT:Red deer W.C.B./ Claims Coordinator Managing workers”””” compensation claims to make sure employees are receiving optimal care and cases are handled with the utmost confidentiality.

Maintaining communication with the employee, their medical service providers and the WCB.

Administering early and safe return to work programs by working with supervisors and the Modified Worker Placement Committee, to facilitate modified or restricted duties.

Liaising with Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, and other internal resources to develop smooth and easy transitions for injured employees.

Monitor claims process and progression to ensure the best interest of the employee and the employer are being satisfied and evaluating claims to determine if an appeal is required.

Preparing and maintaining required files and records, including paper and computer files for injuries and illnesses.

Coordinating the appeal process with legal counsel, HR Manager and the respective WCB.

Monitoring and reviewing current and proposed workers compensation legislative changes to ensure compliance with provincial laws/regulations.

One to three years of experience in Human Resources or prior experience in disability management, Intermediate computer skills.

Prior exposure to payroll and Human Resources Information systems is an asset.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Respects the confidentiality of information and maintains the highest level of professionalism Work effectively with minimal supervision and as a team member.

Able to influence and engage effectively will all levels of production and distribution.

Creative and solution based problem solving skills.

Result oriented, focused on business needs.

Proficiency in English
– spoken writing, reading and comprehension essential.

Required PPE Safety shoes, hard hat, hair net, vinyl gloves, hearing protection, safety glasses Any other PPE or coverings required for production areas.
