Position Overview Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Facilities and Staff Coordinator Applications are welcome from students at the Duke of Marlborough High school interested in a Summer Job opportunity as a Maintenance/Housing helper for the Churchill Health Centre (CHC) Duties: Performing repairs to and upgrading various areas of the health centre as well as housing blocks across from the health centre Sanding, painting and varnishing to finish various projects Beautification of health centre grounds; landscaping, cleaning, painting Must be very punctual, reliable and available to work the entire 8 weeks Experience Not Applicable Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Must be in school this year and returning in the fall of 2018 Certification/Licensure/Registration Not Applicable Qualifications and Skills Must be between the ages of 15-17 years old Ability to perform routine maintenance on all building, equipment and grounds Demonstrated commitment to safe working practices and environment Good oral and written communication skills Able to work independently and as a member of a team Understanding of confidentiality and its importance Physical Requirements Not Applicable This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred.

A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
