, a leading supplier of industrial, medical and specialty gases, has an opening in our Fort Saskatchewan, AB branch location for a: Dry Ice Technician (Full Time) Major Responsibilities (Duties include but are not limited to): Maintain the safety, health and environmental standards of the plant Cut, pack and prepare dry ice orders for different segments of Dry Ice markets Load trailers and ship dry ice directly to branches or customers Keeping floor, warehouse and shipping bins clean Prepare shipping documents Operate a forklift and pallet jack Meet established standards for productivity and quality Operate, monitor and control the various dry-ice processes, dry ice press, and nugget machines Provide routine & preventative maintenance and services to the processes and the equipment Willing to work overtime as needed to meet peak product demands Flexible schedule as the schedule and shifts may change with 48 hours’ notice Ability to lift up to a maximum of 50 pounds repetitively Qualifications: At least one year of experience working in an industrial environment Ability to perform mathematical calculations Comfortable using computers and data entry systems Mechanical aptitude Comfortable working with industrial equipment Capable of performing the physical demands of the job An extreme respect for safety expectations and protocols Accurate and detail oriented A team player who is able to work within tight deadlines Reliable transportation to and from work First Aid and Forklift Operation Certifications considered an asset Advantages of working for Linde Global stability and possible opportunities to work in various areas throughout Linde Learning environment with an Education Assistance Program Continuous learning opportunities provided Competitive salaries, vacation and performance-based salary increase Comprehensive flexible benefits, including health and dental; pension plan; group RRSP Employee Assistance Program Partnership discounted rates Linde has an extensive background check process which may include but is not limited to, a criminal background review, pre-employment medical, driver’s license and abstract review, and may also include reference checks, employment and education verification.
