Associate, Supplier Management

This is a Full-time position in Etobicoke, ON posted July 26, 2021.

What is this opportunity?

The Associate will be responsible for leading the Third Party risk assessments and overall due diligence for Capital Markets operations globally.

As a member of CM SMO, the successful candidate will collaborate with business partners, third parties and various Centre of Governance – acting as Subject Matter Expert, in Third Party compliance and risk mitigation activities.

Reporting to the VP of CM SMO, the Associate will be an integral team member to deliver high quality results in a fast-moving workplace.

What will you do?

Serves as central point-of-contact for third parties and business partners, while ensuring effective regional and global execution of the RBC Capital Markets’ Supplier Management Framework model Assists the business partners in performing third party risk assessments and overall due diligence activities as outlined by regulators and internal policies Supports the business partners in the management of supplier performance monitoring and oversight activities through reviews and documenting required post-contract activities (i.e.

SOC reviews, exit strategies, etc.) Identifies risk findings, communicating impact to the business partners and work with IT Risk teams to ensure timely and accurate closure of open issues Contributes to the continual improvements in procedures, automation, reduce cycle time and improve analytical capabilities while reducing errors Leads new initiatives/projects for process efficiencies, workflow dependencies and transparency of records Engages third parties in obtaining documentation and information to support required due diligence reviews Assists the relationship managers in meeting third party and outsourcing requirements; provides assistance on internal and external audits as required Educates the business partners on Third Party Risk Management principles, guidelines and adherence to internal policies Facilitates the resolution/escalation of third party related issues Participates fully as a team member and contributes to a positive work environment that encourages productivity, professionalism and teamwork Extended and/or off-hour work schedules where necessary, in support of global operations and high priority work assignments What do you need to succeed?

Must-have: 3 years’ experience in supplier risk management, procurement or contract management preferred Business-related degree Demonstrate skills in managing projects and partner relationships Experience working successfully in an environment involving multiple stakeholders with competing priorities Knowledge in supplier lifecycle management Very strong information seeking, creative problem solver, decision making, planning, collaboration and coordination skills Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy Excellent and confident written and verbal communication skills Working effectively within a team and independently Nice-to-have: Risk Management, Project Management, Six Sigma or Information Systems Security certifications Experience in a financial services environment or regulated industries Knowledge or experience in sourcing or contracting IT categories What’s in it for you?
