Sr. Program Manager

ADP is hiring a Sr. Program Manager to join the Product Enablement team leading the launch of the next generation of ADP Workforce Now.

We are looking for a Sr. Program Manager to join the team leading the launch of the next generation of ADP Workforce Now NextGen) product. Reporting to the Director of Product Enablement NextGen, the Program Manager will play a key role in achieving our NextGen vision — Simplify the way we work, make it easier for our associates & clients, gain efficiencies through the process, and deliver a tech-driven, experience-based solution.

The successful candidate will help both the business and our technology organization deliver solutions that make sense for our clients, demonstrated by strong utilization and adoption rates. They will also support the business transformation and change management required to deliver a best-in-class experience-based solution for our clients and associates.

The Program Manager will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing the activities of complex business projects spanning multiple organizations to ensure that project deliverables are provided on time, within budget and in accordance with specification.

This position will require building and maintaining productive working relationships with various levels of stakeholders across all business functions. The successful candidate must manage and provide communication to all organizations, including overall project milestones, risk, scope and expectations, project integration, budget, and staffing.

Program Managers are responsible for executing project procedures that support project management standards while ensuring delivery of the business goals.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute strategic plan defined by senior management.
  • Establish, manage and publish comprehensive project plans.
  • Determine success criteria of overall program. This includes gathering information of client feedback, project team feedback and senior management direction.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams on all Program deliverables.
  • Establish comprehensive cross functional written and verbal communications evaluating Program tasks, milestones, dependencies, issues and escalations. This includes program meetings, minutes, executive briefings and issue management tracking.
  • Accountable for meeting project schedule and results, and the quality of the deliverables.
  • The Program Manager is ultimately responsible for obtaining approvals on Program scope changes, escalating critical path issues and resolving team resource conflicts.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in experience.
  • 10+ years’ Project/Program Management experience
  • Experience in managing large project teams across multiple functions in the company.
  • Excellent communication skills written/verbal) with strong presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to interact all levels of leadership.
  • Ability to align strategic vision to tactical initiatives.
  • Strong collaboration and decision-making skills.
  • Broad business perspective and understanding.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • PMP or equivalent Professional Project Management certification is a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of products, service, implementation, technical, training, financial and sales organizational operations would also be a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multi-line product projects.
  • Proven track record of maintaining effective Project Team relationships in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Must possess a proven ability to work effectively with an aggressive, demanding client and project teams. Must be able to work well under pressure and have a high tolerance for stress.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills for managing multiple, diverse and conflicting projects.
  • Must possess excellent communication, presentation, facilitation and team leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with executive level managers in a project-oriented setting where project risk is substantial and communication requirements are highly complex.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective teams in a project-oriented setting where the team is large, geographically dispersed, and may have conflicting priorities and/or goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain highly complex, leveled and balanced Project Plans using MicroSoft Project, or other comparable Project Management tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate project risks in order to successfully meet project objectives.
  • Experience and understanding of voice of the client / customer insight tools and methodologies is desirable
