We’re Materialistic ( , a specialty fabric house providing green and blue screens, backdrops, technical fabrics and custom soft goods for films, television, and various entertainment industries.We’re looking for a Production Assistant (Warehouse), and we hope our search ends with you.Production Assistant (Warehouse):Your days will be full of variety, as our resident jack-of-all trades. Each production we work with has specific needs, and the physical work will keep you on the move all day. You’ll take part in collaborative problem solving and channel your inner MacGyver, as we find unexpected solutions together.Unlike most warehouse jobs, you’ll get to interact with our customers. Your interpersonal skills will serve you well, as you help the diverse people who come in daily.Practically speaking, you will:* Handle, store, receive, and track incoming and outgoing fabric shipments* Clean (or repair) fabrics as needed* Maintain a clean and tidy facility* Look up information on our computerized system to check incoming and outgoing orders for accuracy, and pick and package these orders according to order forms* Engage with our customers to assess the condition of the fabrics during any drop-off or pick-up of fabricsIf you don’t know how to do that, not to worry – we’ll teach you the tricks of the trade!You’re a great fit for this position because you are:* Reliable – you’re punctual, and you follow through on your commitments.* Flexible – you like the challenge of meeting shifting demands, and don’t get bent out of shape easily.* Detail-oriented – you’re meticulous, careful and organized.* Strong – this is a physical job, and you like a job that keeps you active.Working with Materialistic:This is a full-time permanent position, offering $16-$18 per hour, commensurate with experience, plus vacation.
