Your New Role

Maintains and processes company policies and systemized payroll ensuring all necessary documents and changes made are in compliance with company policies and legislated requirements.

What You Will Need to Succeed
  • Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent,
  • 3 years payroll processing experience in an automated environment,
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels (written & verbal),
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision,
  • Ability to work to deadlines,
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience with ADP preferred
As a Payroll Administrator, You Will
  • Coordinates MAGNA D.P.S.P. program administration, including calculations and ensures completion of year end processing on a timely basis
  • Administers Sunlife group R.R.S.P. program
  • Administers Group Benefits Programs
  • Reimbursement of employee expenses with weekly payroll
  • Prepares WSIB monthly reimbursement 
  • Processes all hourly and salary payroll changes 
  • Processes hourly and salaried payrolls, including calculations and ensures preparation and distribution of cheques and paystubs as required
  • Complies with up-to-date government legislation,
  • Preparation of reports and analysis as required for management team and/or government,
  • Process year-end statutory (I.E. T4’s) and corporate fillings (DPSP),
  • Responds promptly to employee payroll inquiries,
  • Maintains a professional service-oriented manner within the company and supports the corporate image as per the GM/Human Resource Departmental objectives and company policies,
  • Maintain complete confidentiality at all times
  • Follows and models safe working practices and promotes safety in the work place,
  • Works safely and within the guidelines of the Deco Employee Handbook
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and work place safety,
  • Team Player,
  • TS16949 awareness and adherence,
  • ISO 14001 awareness and adherence
  • Lean manufacturing and 5S concepts awareness and adherence
  • Other duties as may be required
  • Accepts personal responsibility to plan and conduct their work safety in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act as well as company policies and guidelines.
