ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for strong, reliable and creative Electrical Instrumentation Technician to join our team. The right candidate will be a part of the Building Systems team – a team consisting of various mechanical and electrical professionals who are passionate and driven to continuous improvement. 

Reporting to the Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor, the Electrical Instrumentation Technician is accountable for ensuring the continued safe operation of instrumentation, electrical systems and equipment, by carrying out calibration, electrical repairs and maintenance for all the facilities.

**Please note, this is a continental shift**

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

• Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, alter or modify and make installations to the electrical power distribution systems of the building, including pneumatic control systems.
• Calibrate production and facility instruments.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, adjust, repair, calibrate or install electrical equipment having complex interlocking or inter-related circuits such as PLCs, generators, transformers, switch-gear, controllers, electronic circuits, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems and other transmission equipment.
• Use test instruments to diagnose problems; work from blueprints, drawings, layout or other specifications to locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system and equipment.
• Compile and maintain all information and relevant documentation.

CANDIDATE BACKGROUND

• Ontario Industrial Electrician (442A) or Construction and Maintenance Electrician License (309A).
• Minimum 2 years of electrical maintenance experience with instrumentation and control. An Ontario Instrumentation and Control technician (447A) will be an asset.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated initiative, self-motivation.
• Good planning and organizational skills.
