Job Description

 

 

 

This role supports Purolator’s core freight accounts, specifically dealing with Loose Trailer Load (LTL) services. The primary focus is to handle all day-to-day operational elements of our customer’s needs by seeking out the best methods to move the freight based on customer requirements. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • This position will assist management in identifying and implementing improvement opportunities through hands-on participation, observations, audit processes, follow up, root cause analysis and reporting of trends and compliance transference knowledge and training
  • Monitor new and existing Freight operational processes for effectiveness and work with management, business owners, learning and development and process integration teams to update/issue pertinent documentation and implement changes
  • Monitor and report on CLI operational data integrity to ensure proper P&D allocation, to reduce revenue leakage and to report accurately on service performance indicators
  • Work with terminals, depots, and LTL partners to improve on POD status updates, accessorial capture and execution, cube and rescale, pick up/dispatch, delivery and line haul manifesting, EDI result codes, barcodes and BOL compliance
  • Assist management with the operational onboarding of new customers with a national and/or regional scope through the business certified program
  • Attend calls, draft processes, support the implementation, and follow up with customers and internal teams
  • Respond to, investigate and assist with discrepancies, disputes, operational issues providing the necessary background details
  • Assist Operations and Marketing with service directory matters helping to reduce cost, support enhancements, and implementation of initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • Minimum 5 years in transportation-LTL/Logistics experience
  • Knowledge of Purolator Freight Operating and Reporting systems (CLI/FACTS, QlikView, Synergize/Microdea) and other BI tools
  • Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Macros, Spreadsheets
  • Self-starter disposition and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral & written
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams
